The 6 WORST Habits For Your Body and Mind

Looking to boost your brain and body health?
Brace yourself as we break down the six WORST habits dragging you down.
Get ready to laugh (and maybe cringe) as we dive in…
#1 - Doomscrolling
Studies suggest the average person racks up a whopping 78 miles a year of scrolling! That’s a lot of wasted steps on a journey to nowhere.
Turn off the screen and step outside—your thumbs deserve a break, and so does your brain. Try picking up a book, going for a walk, or calling a friend instead.
#2 - Gossiping
Research shows that over seventy per cent of our daily conversations revolve around talking about others. Talking sh*t about others might make you feel good in the short term, but in the long term, it affects your self-esteem, your confidence and makes others see you as untrustworthy.
Focus on your own growth and positive conversations. Discussing ideas and experiences can be much more fulfilling.
#3 - Snoozing
When we snooze, we disrupt REM sleep—or dream sleep—which is a restorative sleep state. A 5-to-10-minute snooze isn’t long enough to return to restorative sleep, and the disruption can trigger a response that increases blood pressure.
Set a consistent sleep schedule and stick to it. Getting up at the same time every day can improve your overall sleep quality.
#4 - Vaping
Toss away the douche flute because, let’s be honest, it’s not a good look.
Breathe fresh air, not chemicals!
Choose healthier alternatives to cope with stress. Consider activities like exercising, meditating, or spending time with loved ones.
#5 - Comparing
There will always be someone younger, richer, and smarter than you.
But just because they are does not mean they are healthier, happier, or better than you.
You’re comparing your chapter two to someone else’s chapter ten. Stop it!
Celebrate your own achievements and progress. Focus on your personal journey and be proud of how far you’ve come.
#6 - Multitasking
Spinning lots of plates at the same time is a surefire way to spend your day dealing with wobbly plates.
Chunk your time down and focus on one task at a time.
You’ll get so much more done, and you’ll do a better job at each of your tasks.
Prioritise your tasks and tackle them one by one. This approach will enhance your productivity and the quality of your work.
TL/DR
Doomscrolling: Step outside and give your thumbs (and brain) a break.
Gossiping: Focus on positive conversations and personal growth.
Snoozing: Stick to a consistent sleep schedule for better rest.
Vaping: Breathe fresh air and choose healthier stress relief methods.
Comparing: Celebrate your own achievements and progress.
Multitasking: Prioritise tasks and tackle them individually for better productivity.
