PS This is a very short insight from one of the things I share in my brand new book, Hard Stuff, Easy Life.

If you have yet to preorder the book, it would mean the world to me if you did!

Ever think about how much your emotions are like the weather?

Let’s break down the five similar ways and how you can use this intel to glide through life’s craziness like it’s nothing…

#1. Impermanence

Just like the weather, your feelings are all over the place.

Sunny one second, thunderstorms the next.

It’s important to remember they’re all temporary.

When you get that, it changes the game!

You don’t have to be a slave to your emotions.

They pass, just like bad weather.

Pro Tip: Never send a text or email when you’re angry. Wait it out and reduce having to apologise for what you said.

#2. Unpredictability

Think weather forecasts are hit or miss?

Emotions are the same.

You might feel on top of the world in the morning and hit rock bottom by lunch.

But here’s what you do: you roll with it.

It’s not about dodging the storm—it’s about learning to dance in the rain.

Unpredictability Tip: Since it’s the Euros, I’ve devised a football analogy. Split your day into a game of halves like a football game—(morning till noon and noon till evening)

If you’re off to a bad start in the morning, remember:

you still have the second half!

Reset at noon and dominate till evening

#3. External Influences

Stuff happens. Weather changes, and so do your moods, thanks to what’s happening around you.

Here’s a strategy: arm yourself like you would with an umbrella on a stormy day.

Build your mental toolkit, and you’ll be unstoppable, no matter the weather.

Morning Strategy: Load up on good vibes first thing. Stretch, read, hit the gym, and plan your day.

It’s hard for things to get to you when your vessel is full.

#4. Preparation is Key

Farmers plan for seasons, sailors study tides, and we all check the weather forecast before heading out.

The same goes for your emotions.

Know your triggers, see the storms coming, and you’ll handle anything.

Morning Hack: Kick off every day with these affirmations. Trust me, they’re powerful:

“Today, I will tolerate, and where possible help, difficult/rude people as I don’t know what battles they are fighting.”

“Today, I will spend no time on what I can’t control.”

“Today, I will not exaggerate problems; I will accept them as challenges.”

#5. Finding Beauty in All Conditions

Every weather, good or bad, shows us something beautiful.

It’s the same with feelings. Joy, sorrow, fury, and love all add something special to life.

Stop labelling emotions as good or bad. They’re all part of your journey.

Next time you ride an emotional wave, ask yourself this powerful question…

“What is the world trying to teach me right now?”

There are incredible lessons to be learnt from all emotions.

So there you have it. Emotions, like the weather, are always shifting.

Master these truths: embrace change, roll with the unexpected, gear up for impact, and find the beauty in every moment.

Keep this mindset, and you'll handle your emotional world like a pro!

  • Why asking for help is not a sign of weakness but a necessary part of personal and professional growth.

  • How sharing vulnerabilities and frustrations can lead to deeper connections with others.

  • How expressing gratitude for the help you receive and offering help to others can create a positive cycle of giving and receiving.
