MINDSET
A Shot of Gratitude

Im Ready Doc Brown GIF by Back to the Future Trilogy

I want to share something that happened last weekend that was downright magical.

It started with my son, Archer, being a bit of a pain in the ass.

Classic 5-year-old behaviour when tired, right?

The whining, the neediness – and let me tell you, when you're running on fumes yourself, it can be downright frustrating.

So there I was, dealing with Archer's epic meltdown, and I stumbled across this video.

It had my attention in less than 15 seconds.

And what I experienced next was an overwhelming wave of gratitude and joy that totally changed my perspective.

The video had this voiceover that went something like this:

“Whenever you're frustrated with your kids, close your eyes and imagine you're 80.

You have a time machine that brings you back to this exact moment.

And this is the only moment you get with them while they're young.”

Boom. Mind. Blown.

Think about it – time flies, and there’s no time machine to return these moments.

When I’m 80, I’d give anything to have my whingey 5-year-old again.

That realisation instantly shifted my mood and filled me with gratitude.

This mindset can be applied to anything and anyone in your life.

Try it out today. Take a moment, close your eyes, and imagine the future you looking back.

It’s a game-changer!
