Happy Birthday GIF

This Wednesday marked my 39th trip around the sun, and for nearly a decade, I've kept a tradition alive…

Every year, I compile a list of insights and ideas on my phone that have significantly shaped my thoughts and mindset over the previous 12 months.

Which one resonates with you the most?

Let me know!

#1 - Happiness is found in little things; simple moments bring immense joy, and if you’re not present, you’ll miss them.

#2—If someone pops into your mind, always text them to see how they are. This is a game-changer for keeping in touch with people.

#3 - Give yourself permission to be happy.

#4 - Use your nose for smelling and breathing and your mouth for talking and eating.

#5 - Your kids don't care how hard you work, they care how much time you spend with them.

#6 - If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room.

#7 - Success doesn't change you. It just enhances who you already are.

#8 - No one is looking at you… seriously!

#9 - You’ll never be as young as you are right now. Don't wait to do shit the time is now.

#10 - Seek feedback from those in the arena, not from people booing in the cheap seats.

#11 - It is better to go narrow and deep than wide and shallow.

#12—Get world-class at something. This will help build your confidence and make you a valuable asset to others.

#13 - The family you create is more important than the family you come from.

#14 - No one cares about your fancy watch or expensive sports car… seriously!

#15 - Never talk down about yourself, even as a joke! Your body doesn’t know the difference. Words are energy and cast spells, that’s why they call it spelling - Bruce Lee

#16 - Hold yourself to a high standard and have zero expectations from anyone else.

#17 - Nothing good ever came from scrolling on social media.

#18 - Never argue with strangers on the internet.

#19—If you want your life to change, focus on leaving people feeling better than when they found you.

#20 - If it's not yours, don't take it; if it's not right, don't do it; if it's not true, don't say it; if you don't know, shut up.

#21 - Everyone says they would die for their kids, but not many people actually live for them.

#22 - If you live like the last 14 days for the rest of your life, where do you end up?

#23 - The best productivity app on your phone is called Airplane Mode.

#24 - If you're feeling uncomfortable improving your life remember “This is what it feels like to get better” - Nir Eyal

#25—If someone is drunk and yelling at you, put your hand on their shoulder and calmly say, “But the hedges are only three feet high. How can that be when I asked for them to be made from sand?” This causes massive confusion, which will stop them from yelling.

#26 - Would your 70-year-old self be congratulating or cursing you if you could look at them today in a magical mirror?

#27 - Create a “camera roll dump” of all the cool things you did from the week every Sunday. If you haven't got anything, you must do more cool shit and take more pictures.

#28 - Pretend everyone was sent to teach you something.

#29 - Before considering TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) please do 6 months of TIT (Testosterone Increasing Therapy) Sleep 7+ hours, eat a healthy diet, exercise 4x a week and remove bellends from your life.

#30 - Everyone is friendly, but you have to go first.

#31 - Close your eyes and imagine you're 80. What do you regret that you didn't do? Please open your eyes and do it now.

#32—Social media has made too many people comfortable disrespecting others without getting punched in the mouth for it.

#33 - If you spend time chasing butterflies, they'll fly away. If you spend time making a beautiful garden, they will come. Don't chase, ATTRACT.

#34 - Love your children reliably, and they will outgrow you. Ignore them, and they”ll be obsessed with you for life - @schooloflife

#35 - Three of the hardest habits you can do over 30 are Cold Plunges, Jiu Jitsu and asking for help.

#36 - A good relationship is one where two people make a deal to help make the other person be the best version of themselves - @lewishowes

#37 - If you can spend 5 years doing work that nobody else is willing to do, you will spend the next 40 years living a life like no one else can.

#38 - Pressure is a privilege; it means something is expected of you.

#39 - Working hard and smart without concern for the rewards is the very behaviour that brings the rewards.
