So, let's dive right in. Here's the first harsh truth of 2024…

HARSH TRUTH #1
THE WORLD ONLY CARES ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN GIVE TO IT.

No one wants soggy sandwiches!

The world is basically that mate who only rings you when they need a lift to the airport.

It’s harsh but entirely true.

And the brutal reality is that our beloved planet Earth, with all its mountains, oceans and coffee shops, really doesn’t give a fuck about your feelings or the crappy hand you’ve been dealt in life.

Success isn’t about your sob story but what you bring to the table.

Look at life as a giant feast with everyone invited…

You’re as good as invisible if you show up with a plate of soggy sandwiches.

But stride in with the finest cuts of beef and crispy roast potatoes, the kind that makes everyone drool, and you’re suddenly the life and soul of the party!

We’re rewarded based on the value we contribute. And by “Value”, I don’t mean your ability to quote every line from the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Commando.

(Let off some steam, Bennet!)

I mean the skills, talents and abilities to make someone else’s life a tad easier, better or less boring.

If you’re sat there, wondering why you haven’t hit the jackpot yet, it might be time to ask yourself:

What am I bringing to others in this life?

And if you haven’t focused on getting good at something others are struggling with, it’s time to up your game next year.

The world’s a bustling, unforgiving arena, and If you want to stand out, you’ve got to be more than just background noise.

So, what’s it going to be?

Are you going to up your game, or just keep whinging about being left out?

The world’s not going to wait for you to catch up.

Make your mark, or stay forgotten. The choice is yours.

Takeaway: Success hinges on your contributions, not complaints; bring value to the table, not just soggy sandwiches.

I hope you enjoyed my first Harsh Truth!

I’ll be back in your inbox next Tuesday for Harsh Truth #2
