KB44 - The Cookie Jar

The Knowledge Bomb Newsletter

Before we jump into today’s Newsletter, I've got something exciting to share. It's about my podcast, 'The Body and The Beast', which I'm really proud of.

Launched last December with my good friend Dan Meredith, it’s an unusual blend of our minds.

Dan offers direct, no-nonsense advice on business, confidence, and personal growth, with the odd innuendo chucked in here and there.

As for me, I focus on straightforward tips for a healthier, happier, and stronger life.

As we hit our 63rd episode, I can assure you it's packed with valuable insights and practical tools to boost your life.

And the best part? It's completely free.

MINDSET
THE COOKIE JAR METHOD

Sometimes, you need to remind yourself
who the F**k you are!

Ever heard of David Goggins?

He's not your average Joe; think more of a retired Navy Seal turned ultra-marathon-running legend.

Now, Goggins has this nifty trick up his sleeve, or rather, in his mind – the "Cookie Jar Method".

No, it's not about nicking biscuits but rather a mental hack for when the going gets tough.

Whenever Goggins faces a bit of a pickle or feels like he's up against the wall, he takes a mental dive into his cookie jar.

But instead of sweet treats, it's stuffed with all his past victories and tough times he's already shown the door. It’s like a mental pat on the back, reminding himself, "I've got this!"

The Cookie Jar Method is all about switching gears in your head.

Instead of having a wobble, thinking you can’t face something new and daunting, you remember all the tough times you’ve been through in the past and made it out on the other side.

It's like telling your doubts to “jog on” and making room for a bit of self-belief.

Here's how you get your own cookie jar going…

Jot down all the tough cookies you've crunched through in life. Remember, your track record for overcoming difficult things in your life is 100%.

And the Next time, life throws you a curveball… Mentally reach into your jar, pull out one of those victories, and have a good read.

It'll soon dawn on you that this new challenge is a piece of cake compared to your past successes.

The "Cookie Jar" isn't just about mental strength and resilience; it's about reminding yourself to keep calm and carry on in the most British way possible.

After all, you're more ready to take on the world than you think!

Takeaway: “Face each challenge with a 'Cookie Jar Mindset': delve into your past triumphs instead of doubts, turning every new hurdle into a piece of cake you've already tasted.”

I hope you enjoyed this edition of the Knowledge Bomb Newsletter.

See you next week for another Installment
