MIND
HARDEN THE F**K UP!
Sometimes, we need a stark reminder of how resilient we are as humans.
Have you ever felt like the universe is relentlessly throwing jabs at you?
Well, before you throw in the towel, I've got a little tale for you…
Meet Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart.
This guy is the real-life embodiment of "harden the f*** up."
I mean, we're talking about a dude who was shot in practically every part of his body, lost an eye and a hand, and yet continued to say, “Is that all you got?” to life.
Carton de Wiart's life is a masterclass in resilience. A lot of us spend our days thinking we’re fighting battles, but in comparison to getting shot in the face, our struggles seem more like mosquito bites. The dude lost an eye and STILL went on to fight in THREE wars.
Every challenge, no matter how minor or major in our life, is our battle.
And Sir Adrian? He’s a living (well, not anymore) testament to how much you can endure and keep pushing when you truly want to fight for something.
Your 'something' could be your dream job, that startup idea, a healthier you, or even just trying to get through the week without indulging in that extra slice of pizza (or three).
So, here’s my challenge for you:
Define Your ‘Why’: Sir Adrian had his reasons for fighting, and they were BIG. What's yours? Please put it on your wall, scribble it in your journal, and make it your phone wallpaper. Just make sure it’s somewhere you see daily.
Embrace Resilience: Next time you face a setback, ask yourself: “What would Sir Adrian do?” I’m not suggesting you jump into a war zone, but you get the drift. Embrace the setbacks as just another notch on your belt of badassery.
Reflect and Grow: Every challenge is a chance to learn. Sir Adrian didn’t just fight; he grew with every battle. So, when life throws you a curveball, don’t just dodge—swivel, adapt, and come back swinging.
Takewaway: Resilience is our silent armour; every challenge faced sharpens its invincible sheen.

BODY
OUTCOMES vs BEHAVIOURS

It’s “bad habits” that stop you from your goals because
you don’t focus on changing them
You know those big, shiny goals we all chase?
Lose 10 pounds, make six figures, get 10k followers?
Yeah, they're cool.
But there’s a teeny-tiny, oh-so-common mistake we all make:
Focusing too much on the outcome and too little on the behaviour.
Say you want to lose those stubborn 10 pounds. Awesome!
But just setting that as a goal is kinda like wanting to travel to a dream destination without any idea of the route.
It's like, "Cool, I wanna get to Beachy Paradise, but am I taking a plane, train, or teleportation?"
This is where behaviour goals come in.
Instead of fixating on that “10 pounds gone” badge, what if you focused on hitting the gym four times a week?
Or swapping that midnight snack for a healthier choice?
These are things you can control. They’re actionable, tangible, and guess what? They lead to the outcomes you want!
So here’s the playbook:
1. Swap 'What' for 'How': Instead of saying "I want to achieve X," ask yourself, "How can I consistently work towards X?"
2. Embrace the Journey: Every behaviour goal you set and meet. That’s a win! Celebrate the small victories along the way.
3. Review & Refine: The beauty of behaviour goals? You get instant feedback. If something's not working, pivot and try a new approach.
Success isn’t just about the finish line. It’s about the sweat, the grind, the tiny steps you take daily. So, ditch the outcome obsession and start loving the behaviours that get you there.
Takeaway: Facing the numbers today paves the path for a brighter tomorrow. Measure to manage, not to mourn.
CONNECTION
SURROUNDED BY IDIOTS

Ever feel like being fed idiot sandwiches all day?
this might help…
You ever have one of those days where you’re like…
"Why can't people just get me?!"
or "Is the universe pranking me with these weirdos?"
Well, guess what? You're not alone.
And there's a pretty epic reason behind it…
Enter Thomas Erikson's color-coded humans from his book "Surrounded by Idiots."
Four types of people, each with their own wacky way of seeing the world.
Let’s break it down:
The Reds
How to spot them: Their 'get to the point' vibe. Think corporate boss on a caffeine high.
How to get through to them: Be clear, direct, and for the love of God, don't waffle. Straight talk = their love language.
The Yellows
How to spot them: That contagious energy. They're the life of the party. Always.
How to get through to them: Engage with their enthusiasm. Ask about their weekend plans. Listen to their wild story from last night. Connect on the human level.
The Greens
How to spot them: Their calm-before-the-storm demeanour. Think Yoda without the green skin.
How to get through to them: Patience, young Jedi. Give them space, speak softly, and avoid being confrontational.
The Blues
How to spot them: Their obsession with details. They probably own a microscope for fun.
How to get through to them: Facts, data, logic. Do your homework before you chat. They appreciate it when you come prepared.
So the next time you're about to pull your hair out 'because someone's not "getting" you, remember:
We're all a mix of these colour types. And, just maybe, with a little patience and a splash of understanding, we can all vibe together in this big, colourful mess called life.
Takeaway: Understanding colors isn't art; it's the key to decoding human interactions and bridging gaps.
DIRECTION
BEING TOO “RIGID”

The bow too tensely strung, is easily broken
Ever find yourself stubbornly sticking to a life roadmap you sketched out when you were, I dunno, 22?
You know, the one that seemed perfect back then but now kinda feels like you're wearing shoes two sizes too small?
Welcome to the classic blunder: Being Too Rigid.
Having a plan feels safe. Secure. Predictable.
But Life is not so predictable.
And sometimes, that five-year plan needs a little wiggle room.
Tony Robbins once said a great quote:
"Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach."
Translation? It's cool to have goals, but the path? It's not set in stone.
Here’s another playbook:
1. Embrace the Detour: Sometimes, the scenic route is where the magic happens. New experiences, people, ideas... they're all there waiting.
2. Reassess & Pivot: Goals evolve, just like us. So if something doesn’t fit anymore, ditch the old and usher in the new.
3. Stay Fluid: In the grand dance of life, sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow. Be like water, my friend. Adapt, mould, and flow.
Success isn’t about blindly following a plan…
It’s about evolving, growing, and sometimes taking that detour.
Takeaway: Embracing life's detours often reveals the most scenic routes to personal growth
TLDR
👉 MIND: Facing life's relentless jabs, Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart's resilience reminds us that our challenges, no matter how daunting, can be conquered when our 'why' is clear and our spirit remains unbroken.
👉 BODY: While everyone's chasing those big, shiny goals, lasting success is rooted in the everyday behaviours that slowly, yet surely, guide us to our desired outcomes. Embrace the journey, not just the destination
👉 CONNECTION: In the vibrant mosaic of life, understanding Erikson's colour-coded personalities can transform miscommunication into harmonious human connections. Dive deeper, find your hue, and learn to vibe with every shade.
👉 DIRECTION: Clutching too tightly to old roadmaps can hinder growth. Embrace life's detours, adapt, and let your journey evolve. As paths twist and turn, remember flexibility, not rigidity, paves the way to success.
