Stop Playing It Safe

Alright, let’s cut to the chase.

You’re not old. Not yet.

But you’re not exactly a spring chicken, either.

You’re somewhere in the middle.

Just old enough to have some wisdom but still young enough to do something with it.

Which brings us to the point in this newsletter this week…

Stop Playing it Safe.

Playing it safe is what got you stuck in the first place.

Stuck in the job you can’t stand.

Stuck in the town that bores the hell out of you.

Stuck in a routine that’s so predictable, even your cat rolls its eyes.

Now you’re older you’ve got something magical you didn’t use to have..

Clarity.

You know what’s worth your time and what’s not.

You can smell BS from a mile away.

You know which risks are worth taking because you’ve already wasted time on the wrong ones.

So why not bet on yourself?

The truth is this…

You’re not running out of time; you’re running out of excuses.

That career change you’ve been daydreaming about?

The book idea you’ve been sitting on?

The move to a new city?

You don’t need anyone’s permission to start.

You need to stop overthinking it and pull the trigger.

Because here’s what nobody tells you about risk:

The real risk isn’t failing.

It’s waking up 20 years from now and realising you never tried.

So, here’s your my challenge to you…

  1. Pick one thing—just one—that scares you and excites you at the same time.

  2. Commit to it like your life depends on it. (Because honestly, it does.)

  3. Start today. Not tomorrow, not next Monday. Today.

Now you’re older and wiser you don’t need someone to hold your hand.

You need to look in the mirror and ask, “If not now, when?”

Stop waiting for the perfect moment.

It doesn’t exist.

The only thing that does is now.

So, make the move.

Take the leap.

Bet on yourself.

You’ve still got time

But only if you use it!

I hope you enjoyed this week’s Knowledge Bomb.

See you next week for another instalment.
