Super Harsh Truths To Help You Start 2025 with a Bang!

Welcome to Part Ten of my 12-part “Super Harsh Truth Series” for this festive season!

Over the next 12 days, leading right up to New Year’s Eve, I’ll be dropping daily truth bombs to challenge your mindset, spark action, and help you gear up for an incredible 2025.

My goal?

To give you at least one game-changing insight each day that you can take into the new year, laying the groundwork for a year you’ll indeed be proud of!

Let’s dive into #10: If you’re waiting for the right time, you’re wasting time.

#10 - If you’re waiting for the right time, you’re wasting time.

The “perfect moment” you’re waiting for doesn’t exist.

It’s a myth, a convenient excuse to avoid taking action.

Every time you tell yourself, “I’ll start when things settle down,” or “I’m waiting for the right circumstances,” you’re not preparing…

You’re procrastinating!

Waiting is a trap.

There will always be a reason not to start.

  • Too busy? Life’s not going to slow down for you.

  • Not ready? You’ll never feel 100% ready.

  • Need more knowledge or resources? You’ll figure it out as you go.

Here’s the truth:

Every day you wait is a day wasted.

The clock is ticking whether you act or not.

You’re not standing still; you’re falling behind.

If you keep waiting for the stars to align, you’ll wake up a year from now in the exact same place, wondering why nothing has changed.

Why the “perfect moment” is a lie:

  1. There will always be obstacles. Something will always be “in the way.” Success doesn’t come from avoiding challenges; it comes from working through them.

  2. You learn by doing. The only way to get better is to start, make mistakes, and improve. Waiting won’t teach you anything.

  3. Momentum builds clarity. Action creates direction. The more you move forward, the clearer your path becomes.

Starting messy is better than not starting at all.

Stop worrying about doing it perfectly.

Perfection is the enemy of progress.

You don’t need all the answers right now; you just need to take the first step.

Even if it’s small, even if it’s awkward, even if it feels like you’re fumbling in the dark, it’s better than standing still.

Ask yourself:

  • How many “perfect moments” have you been waiting for that never came?

  • What could you achieve if you started today and committed to figuring it out along the way?

  • Are you more afraid of starting messy or of staying stuck?

The truth about timing:

  • The perfect time to start a fitness journey? Yesterday. The second-best time? Today.

  • The perfect time to launch that business? When you have an idea. Not when it’s perfect, but when it’s possible.

  • The perfect time to take control of your life? The second you realise no one else is going to do it for you.

The bottom line:

Waiting is easy, but it’s a dead-end.

Action is messy, but it’s the only way forward.

Stop fooling yourself with the illusion of “someday.”

Today is all you’ve got, and it’s more than enough to start.

Don’t wait for the right time.

Make it the right time.

The first step might not be perfect, but it’s the one that changes everything.

Start now, even if it’s messy!
